Datsun 1979 280ZX 2 + 2 2800.00

Datsun1979 280ZX 2 Plus 2 Car for Restoration. This particular car came to our attention and under the circumstances we had to act quickly, which we did. The car, in the pictures we were sent, had that " Original and Untouched " look and feel to it.   We need the room, reduced in price.

We are glad to report ( considering the purchase price ) that this car is one of those very rare examples that was parked and left unmolested. This is car is for all purposes an example where everything is in-place, intact.( WE HAVE NOT RUN THE CAR'S ENGINE OR TESTED ANYTHING ELECTRICAL). This is an excellent example of a  " DRY " car. The doors open smoothly and lightly, the hood lifts effortlessly and is as light as a feather. This being the case because neither the doors or the hood are filled with rust or debris, this is very rare as we have had dozens of the cars in for parts cars. The floor pans seem and feel very solid. The Passengers outer floor pan edge and rocker has some soft areas.  The interior is slightly rough, not mint or super-clean but Very, Very Original and unbroken, never abused, just usage worn.

The Engine Bay says it all. Original, fully intact and unmolested ( look at the even patina in the pictures ). The Glass all around is fine, very nice, considering. The rear hatch is 100 % solid and has a great set of louvers on it. The hatch lifts are no good, you will need new ones. You will, of course need to replace all the tires. The car appears to have 130,000 miles on it ??? we will check this again.

This is a five speed Manual Transmission 280ZX, the transmission shifts well in a dry test. We have not tried to start the car as it will need to be prepped properly beforehand to do so. This car was properly stored in an aircraft hanger which we are sure is the reason why it is so dry and solid.

This 280ZX is being offered for sale for restoration. We feel strongly that it should be restored properly and in this case it is a particularly good example.

There are no guarantees with this car at all but there is a title and a set of original keys and all the locks work. It looks like at some time the car has had some body and paint work on the rear drivers fender and some other touch ups.

We can't say enough about the how rare it is to find one of these Zs' in this state of condition. Not Perfect by any means but really nice / used condition.
